Tuesday’s administration of the Neulasta shot went fine, apparently. The injection was given by Maggie’s capable roommate, Martha, who had once given a dog a shot. Chris wasn’t there to witness the event so he can’t comment on the hilarity that no doubt ensued. There was some initial confusion as to how much of the liquid was to be expelled into a napkin (2 mgs of the 6mg shot) since the cartridge of the injection didn’t have any markings on it. Hey, when in doubt, guestimate. It’s not like this shot is important. (It’s kind of funny, actually – we’ve both become so acquainted with this dance that we’re nearly immune to it’s gravity. Or we just choose to ignore it for fear of going insane.)
