Nurse Mary just called from Dr. Loukas’ office to let us know that Dr. Loukas has placed a called to MD Anderson.  She didn’t give us much information except that we should expect a call.  Chris also found a nice article written by Dr. Curley of MD Anderson called “One Surgeon’s Unabashedly Biased View on Liver Resection.”  A liver resection can drastically improve Maggie’s long-term outlook.  The key is eligibility, which only the surgeon can decide.

There’s one thing that’s worth clarifying.  It was certainly something we have learned and is a little confusing initially so let us share our knowledge… Maggie does not have liver cancer.
