Burning cold, painful chewing, general bad feeling and nausea – it’s all showing up. But she got a good weekend in despite being hooked up to her Chemo Buddy. She enjoyed a wonderful night out with the spouses of my classmates at Clay Pit and last night she partied down* at Amy, Trey, Leslee and Pete’s Halloween Bash! I even wrapped up my studies around 11:30PM so I made a late surprise appearance which made her smile. I just love to see her smile.

Spa Visit Friday
Maggie met with Dr. Loukas on Wednesday. There’s not a whole lot of new news. Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Maggie’s hard earned hair growth is quickly becoming history. That last round of CPT-11 is working it’s final magic. Made the Chemo Switch
We have switched to the new type of chemo, Oxaliplatin. Maggie is just getting home and, while she’s tired, she’s doing fine. I’ll update more when I’ve got some time but for now I’ve got to concentrate on schoolwork.
Spa Visit This Wednesday
Our really tough decision still looms but it’s likely to be made for us come Wednesday. Maggie and I are both anxious for many reasons, none of them particularly good. If we switch, the new drugs will require new dances. And because we switched, it means we are at a new place in our Great Cancer Adventure. Again, not particularly good.
